Fotis Greek Deli

Even though this is a Greek hummus I decided that this hummus would be first. I got a small container and two warm pitas for $5.30. Fotis actually has good pita. The thing about this hummus is i only like it with the Greek style pita. I tried it with Lebanese pita and it wasn't as good. I Just found out how good this stuff is a few months ago after working a block away for 3 years. It is not a traditional Lebanese hummus at all. The texture is great but much thinner than most hummus. It does not come with any garnish. It does however come with the perfect amount of garlic. Every scoop of hummus has nice little chunks of garlic. This is my favorite thing about Foti's hummus. The texture is great but only due to the heavy garlic factor. I like this hummus a lot but feel it is so different than most of the hummus its hard to compare. It is a great dip and very consistent. Every time I eat it it taste just as good.
So yeah go buy some hummus from them.

My new blog

so I decided to make a blog about Hummus. I eat it every day. It is either my favorite or most hated food. That of course is due to the fact that no one makes hummus the same. I have been disappointed many times with bad hummus. So now im going to keep track of what sucks and what does not.

I put hummus on almost everything I eat, but there is only one way to really judge hummus. thats with some good fresh pita bread. I am also very picky with pita bread most of it is bad. but i know where to get the good stuff. International food supply on 80th and stark sells some of the best pitas I have found, so I plan on using those for my hummus test. Well whenever they are available that is.
